Making taffy
This past Sunday Jeanni Evans and I made homemade taffy. It was a lot of fun. It went a lot faster than I thought it would. It was really hot when we started to pull it. It was worth the pulling of the hotness. It was also funny because I put the fork on a package of butter to set it aside until we were done. Well after we were done and cleaning up the taffy had cooled like in the picture. It was cool.

Words of Wisdom
The effect of our words and acts is tremendous in this world. Every moment of life you are changing to a degree the lives of the whole world. … So, it’s not the surroundings, it isn’t the positions; the thing that will influence [others] in this world, are personalities. No matter what you are people will feel and recognize this. You radiate, you can’t hide it. You may pretend something else, but that will not affect people.

Way to go Ruth! I've never been brave enough to try pulling taffy myself. My dad and brother are great at it though. I'm glad you're keeping the taffy tradition going!
We do kind of look blurry in the top picture.
