music

I like the music in the wizard of Oz.
Cowardly Lion
: I'd be brave as a blizzard...
Tin Woodsman: I'd be gentle as a lizard...
Scarecrow: I'd be clever as a gizzard...
Dorothy: If the Wizard is a wizard who will serve.
Scarecrow: Then I'm sure to get a brain...
Tin Woodsman: A heart...
Dorothy: A home...
Cowardly Lion: The nerve!

I love old movies and plays. They bring so many good memories. I love it.

Accident prone

This past week was an accident prone week for me. I tripped once but caught myself. Hit my lip on a wall, and I tripped for real because I tripped on uneven sidewalk. It hurt a lot. I got some bruises and scrapes. I did somewhat of a summersault on the cement. Hope everyone is well.

Funny work pictures

Here are some recent pictures that I have taken at work. The first picture is of the helmet that I wore when I cleaned the chicken coop at work. It is a hard helmet with ear sound protectors, and a mask in the front. Sandy's husband uses it for weed-eing. The second picture is when it rained really hard and a lot when I was at work. I didn't put the hood on the rain coat and I decided to do this to keep the rain off my hair even though it was already wet at the time. Sandy's husband got a new feeder to feed the sheep, lamb, and llama their hay. It makes it a lot easier. Basically I just get the hay cut off the bailing twine and then I put the hay into the feeder and they have food. Have a good day. :)
People cannot make us feel mad unless we let them.
In other words, we are in control of how we think. We are in charge of how we feel. We are free to choose how we act. Just knowing this can liberate us from feeling stuck and feeling like others and our circumstances have power over us to dictate how we should feel, think, and act. This principle can be stated as follows: WE ARE FREE TO CHOOSE HOW WE THINK, FEEL, AND ACT AND KNOWING THIS CAN LIBERATE US FROM FEELING STUCK IN OUR EMOTION COMMOTION.
I just wanted to share these words from one of my classes.

Grateful

I have been thinking recently that I should write a blog about things I am grateful for. I am glad that I got the chance to work for Virginia. She taught me some good things about life. She taught me to have patience, to learn how to grow a love for someone. I am glad to live in the United States. I listen to country most of the time now and when I do when I am going to work they play the national anthem every day at noon. We have so many blessings because we live in the USA. I have also been gaining a appreciation for the ability to do all that I can. Sandy has taught me to appreciate being able to use both hands. I had a dream and could use only one hand and it made me appreciate Sandy even more. I find that laughing helps me to be grateful. Humor helps us to remember to be thankful for what we have. Friends are another thing I am grateful for. They teach me things even if they don't know it. I am grateful for beautiful days. Have a wonderful day my friends. :)

Summer 2009

This summer has been a great one. I have had a lot of fun and have learned a lot of new things.
In June my niece Kalli turned 3 years old. I helped my sister Reva with her birthday party. We had lots of fun with water and other party games.
I went to a couple of my friends wedding receptions. It was great to be able to travel and have the time to think!
I cut my hair on July 9th. It has been nice to have shorter hair. It makes things easier and harder at the same time.
In May I started a new job. Virginia the lady I was working for passed away. It was sad she died, but she is in a better place. Sandy my new boss is a lot of fun. I don't think there has been a day where I haven't laughed at something that happened at work. She has some very cute animals. Apollo the Llama and Stomper one of the sheep are my favorites. The animals teach me many lessons that I can apply to my life.
My car was expensive for me this summer. First I had a motor that sounded like it was going to die, then I had brake issues, and then I have had tire problems. It is crazy.
In July I had a family reunion in Idaho. We went swimming, played games, talked, and ate food. I enjoyed the time I spent with my family.
One very eventful thing that happened at my apartment was that the sewer backed up in our downstairs bathroom. It was gross and stinky.
My summer was a very good one filled with adventure and excitement.

Picking,stemming,pitting

For about the last three weeks at work I have been helping my boss Sandy with cherries. It has been a lot of work, but fun. I learned how to make fruit rolls too. We use a food processor to mix up the cherries into a liquid like substance. Then we put it onto a cookie sheet that has glad wrap(or mad wrap as Sandy calls it). The sheep, llama, and hens are loving the goodies they get. They get the cherries that they birds get to. It is fun feeding the animals at work. That is all for today folks.

Words of Wisdom

The effect of our words and acts is tremendous in this world. Every moment of life you are changing to a degree the lives of the whole world. … So, it’s not the surroundings, it isn’t the positions; the thing that will influence [others] in this world, are personalities. No matter what you are people will feel and recognize this. You radiate, you can’t hide it. You may pretend something else, but that will not affect people.
