here and there

In my swimming class I recently learned to do the butterfly stroke. It is a fun, but hard stroke to do. In doing this stroke I get to pretend that I am a dolphin if I want to. I also have tried my hand at cooking artichokes. It is a good little side for a meal.

I don't know what the butterfly stroke is. You'll have to tell me about it. I LOVE artichokes, though. They're quite nice!

The butterfly IS hard, but it's the coolest feeling when you do it well, I think it's a lot of fun! Wow, now I want to go swimming!!

It is a dolphin like kick and use the arm motion. The best thing is to you-tube it to see how it looks.

I'm impressed. I can do a pretty good doggie paddle or a back stroke that looks like I'm a frog, but that's about it. :)

Words of Wisdom

The effect of our words and acts is tremendous in this world. Every moment of life you are changing to a degree the lives of the whole world. … So, it’s not the surroundings, it isn’t the positions; the thing that will influence [others] in this world, are personalities. No matter what you are people will feel and recognize this. You radiate, you can’t hide it. You may pretend something else, but that will not affect people.
